Company History
Ernest D. Kelly, LLC is a small, experienced, and dependable accounting firm specializing in accounting systems for small businesses and taxation for Individuals, Partnerships, and Corporations. Consultation, preparation, and representation services are also available. Since the company started in 1980, we have represented over 500 businesses and have served over 5500 individuals in 36 states and overseas. One of the keys to our success is the personal attention we give to each account. We are always looking for new ways to be of service to our clients. The key to all successful businesses is a good foundation. With over 90% of all businesses classified as a small business, and with 4 out of every 5 of these businesses failing within two years, we believe good, sound accounting advice is necessary for new businesses to succeed.

Hattie H. Vincent

Hattie H. Vincent, a New Orleans native is a graduate of John F. Kennedy Senior High School. She is currently attending the University of Phoenix seeking a degree in Business Management. Hattie is currently the Individual Account Manager at Ernest D. Kelly, LLC. As the manager, Hattie oversees and coordinates with a team of four assistants that specialize in accounting systems for small businesses and taxation for individuals, partnerships and corporations. Before joining the staff at EDK, Hattie worked in the Banking and Retail Industry with over 15 years of Customer Service and Managerial Experience. She has devoted the last 11 years to EDK in various positions. She insures that all clients’ work is performed in a professional and timely manner. Hattie has 13 years of tax preparation of personal and business income tax returns. She has served as bookkeeper, payroll clerk, and has assisted Mr. Kelly with IRS and State audits.

Tanya Benton

Tanya is a graduate of Alfred T. Bonnabel High School and Southern University where she received an Associate of Arts Degree in Computer Science. She was employed at the New Orleans Riverwalk for over 15 years as an Administrative Assistant and Associate Mall Accountant. Tanya has been employed as Executive Assistant to Ernest D. Kelly since September of 2008. She feels her knowledge and years of experience is an asset to the company. She is very excited about her position and is looking forward to a long career here. Tanya is 45 years old and the proud mother of two. As special assistant to Ernest Kelly, Tanya can help facilitate communication and provide insight to getting your problems resolved.

Stephanie Baker

Stephanie Baker, a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy Catholic School in New Orleans is an Administrative Assistant with Ernest D. Kelly, LLC. In this role, Stephanie supports and coordinates with a team that specializes in accounting systems for small businesses and taxation for individuals, partnerships and corporations. Stephanie has more that 10 years of experience in customer service and accounting methods. Before joining Ernest D. Kelly, LLC in 2007, Stephanie worked several years for a diverse range of organizations, including small business start-ups, corporations and private sector agencies. Stephanie’s varied background in accounting, customer service, sales and the health industry has provided the perfect foundation for her as an Administrative Assistant with Ernest D. Kelly, LLC. Stephanie can assist with scheduling appointments; guide you to the proper authority regarding your issues or concerns; receive correspondence; assist in preparation of your tax returns; problem tax cases; and any questions regarding setting up businesses.

Michelle Parker

Michelle S. Parker is a native of New Orleans. She’s a graduate of Francis T. Nicholls Sr. High. She attended Delgado Community College and University of New Orleans pursuing an accounting career. Michelle brings 17 years of government experience with 12 of the years at IRS in Audit, Examination, and Problem Resolution. She has two daughters in college. Michelle joined the Ernest D. Kelly, LLC family on Jan 4, 2010 eagerly willing to learn the Ernest D. Kelly way of customer service to enhance the client experience. Michelle brings 20+ years of high standards of customer service and problem resolution to improve the client experience. Michelle is enthusiastic about starting her new career at Ernest D. Kelly, LLC and will enjoy many years of working with her new family.

Brandon C. Barnes

Brandon C. Barnes was born on January 23, 1986 in New Orleans, LA. Brandon graduated from John Curtis High School. He is currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Accounting at UNO while contributing to the success of Ernest D. Kelly, LLC. In just one tax season at Ernest D. Kelly, LLC, Brandon has faced many obstacles while going the length to insure the satisfaction of our clients. He is trained and experienced in multiple areas at our firm’s practice. Brandon can assist with scheduling appointments; guide you to the proper authority regarding any issues or concerns you may have; receive correspondence; and assist in the preparation of your tax returns.

Ernest D. Kelly III

Ernest D. Kelly III was born October 9, 1988 in New Orleans, LA and is a graduate of Edna Karr Secondary School. He is currently a senior at Hampton University in Hampton, VA seeking a Bachelors Degree of Science in Accounting. He is a member of the National Association for Black Accountants (NABA) and the Society of Business Professionals. Ernest is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He is also a member of Hampton University’s golf team. 2 time AAU Golf Junior Olympian, Ernest enjoys traveling, networking and sports. Ernest has worked in the practice for the past two summers and aspires to become a Certified Public Accountant and entrepreneur, opening various businesses throughout the southern region. He can assist with scheduling appointments; guide you to the proper authority regarding any issues or concerns you may have; receive correspondence; and assist in preparation of your tax returns.

Frederick Massarini, Jr.

Frederick Massarini, Jr. is a graduate of the University of New Orleans with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Accounting. Frederick possesses past experience in both individual and corporate taxation and can assist you with scheduling your appointment, preparing your tax return, constructing the appropriate accounting system for your business, as well as tax planning for you or your company for upcoming years. He is proficient in a range of accounting software which makes him very versatile and able to meet all the needs of our clients.
